Oh, the magic of Photoshop! This is the before and after of and image of a little girl. The challenge was to brighten the image and erase some of the dirt and scratches from her hand and face.
Some spots were very easy—I just used the Spot Healing tool to blend away the tiny rocks and specks—while other spots were more challenging—getting the scratch on her cheek to blend away evenly and taking the dirt out of the crease of her smile with as little distortion as possible. Even getting the rocks around her lips and teeth took a lot of finessing. But with the Clone tool it was definitely possible.
