About
“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

Well hello there! I'm Becky Johnson. I am 22 years old and a mere three credits from finishing a degree in Visual Communication Design (graphic design). I go to Virginia Tech but I'm from the Northern Virginia area.

In the vast world of graphic design, I'm a printing and publications kind of girl. My weapons of choice are paper and ink, and I love making books, event programs, magazines, newsletters, invitations etc. I primarily work with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. From time to time you might catch

me working in Dreamweaver and WordPress, but to be honest, web is not my forte.

Speaking of fortes, other than graphic design and art, I am naturally drawn to foreign languages. From first grade to my sophomore year at Virginia Tech I have been studying Spanish. I can speak, read and write in Spanish fairly well and would love to apply this skill to my work. Though I haven't sutdied them, I can pick up on Italian, French, German, and some Latin. I'd love to learn Portugues, Russian, and Chinese.

Other than art and languages, I love music, movies, architecture, blogging, and Ford Mustangs.

Well, that's enough about me. I'd love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me about anything and everything. Thanks for dropping by.
